Paysafecard at Platiin
Paysafecard is a prepaid voucher: you buy it for a fixed amount, receive a 16-digit PIN and pay online with that PIN instead of a card or bank account. For a casino deposit, that has an obvious appeal — no bank details, and a built-in spending cap, because you cannot spend more than the voucher holds. The catch comes later. A voucher is a one-way street, so winnings need a different route out, and that route has to be set up and verified. This page explains the full cycle before you buy the first voucher.
The set of methods and the limits depend on your account — check the cashier.
Depositing with a voucher
- Buy a voucher from an authorised seller or online and keep the receipt.
- In the cashier, choose Paysafecard and enter the amount.
- Enter the 16-digit PIN in the payment window that opens.
- The deposit is usually credited immediately; any leftover value stays on the voucher.
Treat the PIN like cash. Anyone who knows it can spend it. No genuine support agent will ask for it outside the payment window.
The payout problem
Vouchers are designed to spend money, not to receive it. In practice, a casino will usually pay winnings from a Paysafecard deposit to another method in your name — most often a bank account, sometimes an e-wallet. That has three consequences you should plan for:
- You need a second payment method before you can withdraw.
- That method has to be verified, which adds documents and time to the first payout.
- The anonymity of the voucher ends at the payout, because the casino must know who it is paying.
Ask yourself before depositing where a payout would go. If the answer is "my bank account", upload the bank details and identity documents early.
Vouchers and bonus terms
Prepaid vouchers are sometimes on the list of methods excluded from bonuses, and some offers require a qualifying deposit above the voucher denomination you happen to hold. A worked example (example in euros; the maths is the same in any currency): you buy a €25 voucher, but the welcome offer requires a €30 qualifying deposit. The €25 deposit is credited without bonus. If the terms allow combining vouchers, a second voucher brings you to €50 and the bonus might apply — with wagering of, say, 40x the €50 bonus at a 100% match, that is €2,000 to wager before the payout question even arises.
Worked example — not a Platiin term. The qualifying deposit and excluded methods are written in the offer's bonus terms.
Our welcome bonus guide and bonus terms guide show where these conditions are written.
A spending cap you can hold in your hand
Many players choose a voucher precisely because it limits spending: once the voucher is empty, the session is over. That only works if you do not top up with another method in the same evening. If you want a firmer cap, combine it with a deposit limit in your casino account — see responsible gambling.
Alternatives
If you want a method that works both ways, consider an e-wallet such as Skrill or a bank transfer. The step-by-step payout process is on withdrawal, and all methods are compared on the payments overview.
