Platiin payments: how to read the cashier before you pay
The cashier is where most bonus mistakes start. People pick the first payment button they see, tick the bonus box and only later find that their method did not qualify, that the bonus blocks a withdrawal, or that the payout has to go somewhere other than where the money came from. This page walks through casino payments the way we read every set of terms: what each method does, what it means for deposit and withdrawal, and what to check before the first transaction. We describe methods you can expect to look for in an international cashier. Whether Platiin offers each of them for your account, and on which limits, is something only the cashier itself can tell you.
The set of methods and the limits depend on your account — check the cashier.
Payment methods at a glance
| Method | Deposit | Withdrawal | What to check first |
|---|---|---|---|
| Visa | card details, often 3-D Secure | sometimes back to the card, sometimes not | whether your bank blocks gambling payments |
| Mastercard | same flow as other cards | depends on card type and issuer | debit or credit, cash-advance fees |
| PayPal | login to the wallet | usually back to the same wallet | whether wallet deposits qualify for the bonus |
| Skrill | login to the wallet | usually back to the same wallet | bonus exclusion list, wallet fees |
| Paysafecard | 16-digit voucher PIN | usually needs a second method | where a payout can go before you deposit |
| Bank transfer | transfer with a reference | to an account in your own name | name match, reference, bank processing days |
| Bitcoin and other crypto | to a deposit address | to your wallet address | network, price movement, bonus rules for crypto |
Step-by-step guides live on separate pages: how to deposit and how to withdraw.
Deposit and withdrawal are two different journeys
A deposit is a payment you push to the casino; it is usually confirmed in seconds or minutes for cards and wallets. A withdrawal is a request the casino has to approve before the provider moves anything. Between those two moments sit the things that slow payouts down: identity checks, open wagering requirements, a method that cannot receive money, and internal review times. That is why "instant deposits" says nothing about payout speed, and why the method you choose to pay in should be chosen with the way out in mind.
Many cashiers apply a "closed loop": money goes back the way it came, at least up to the amount deposited by that route. If you deposit with a voucher that cannot receive funds, the payout needs another method — often a bank transfer — and that method then has to be verified too.
Currency, supported currencies and conversion
Your account has one currency, chosen at registration. If you deposit with a card or wallet that runs in another currency, the conversion happens on your provider's side and their exchange rate and fee apply. The same happens in reverse on a payout. Before the first deposit, compare three currencies: the account, the payment method, and your bank account. When all three match, conversion costs disappear. The supported currencies are listed in the registration form and the cashier.
Minimum deposit, fees and limits
A minimum deposit usually differs by method, and a bonus can have its own, higher qualifying deposit. If the welcome offer requires, say, a qualifying deposit above the cashier minimum and you pay only the cashier minimum, the bonus may simply not trigger. Fees can come from three places: the casino (rare on deposits, sometimes on frequent withdrawals), the payment provider (wallets and cards differ), and your bank (cash-advance coding on credit cards, foreign-currency fees). Limits per transaction, per day or per month are listed in the cashier and can change with verification status.
How your deposit enters the wagering maths
This is where payment and bonus meet (example in euros; the maths is the same in any currency):
| Assumption | Wagering on bonus only | Wagering on deposit + bonus |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit | €80 | €80 |
| Bonus (100% match) | €80 | €80 |
| Multiplier | 30x | 30x |
| Total wagering | €2,400 | €4,800 |
Worked example — not a Platiin term. The real base and multiplier are in the offer's bonus terms.
The same multiplier doubles the work once your deposit is part of the base. And if your deposit method is on the exclusion list, none of it applies — the bonus simply is not credited. Our wagering guide takes the calculation further, including expected loss.
Instant deposits versus payout speed
Cards and e-wallets are usually credited at once. Crypto depends on network confirmations; bank transfers depend on your bank. Payout speed is a different measurement: it starts with the casino's approval and only then reaches the provider. A first withdrawal is often the slowest because it triggers the identity review. Payout times are not something this guide can state; the withdrawal status in the cashier is the only reliable clock.
Verification, documents and pending withdrawals
Before the first payout, expect a request for photo ID, possibly proof of address, and proof that the payment method is yours — for a card, a photo with most digits covered; for a wallet, a screenshot of the account page. A withdrawal marked "pending" is usually waiting for one of three things: document review, an open bonus that still has wagering left, or the internal approval queue. Asking support which of the three applies is quicker than waiting.
Deposit with Visa, PayPal or Bitcoin: three quick contrasts
To deposit with Visa you enter card details and confirm with your bank; it is the most familiar route, but some banks decline gambling payments. To deposit with PayPal you log in to the wallet, which keeps card numbers off the casino site; whether wallet deposits count for a bonus is the question to answer first. To deposit with Bitcoin you send coins to an address shown in the cashier; the network and the price on arrival both matter, as described on the crypto page.
