PayPal at Platiin
PayPal is the e-wallet many people already use for online shopping, which makes it an obvious candidate for a casino deposit. It keeps your card and bank details away from the casino, confirms payments in a familiar login, and can often receive payouts as well. It also comes with two conditions that are easy to overlook: PayPal itself decides where and for whom it processes gambling payments, and bonus terms frequently treat e-wallet deposits differently from cards. This page goes through both before the practical steps.
The set of methods and the limits depend on your account — check the cashier.
Availability is not up to the casino alone
PayPal only processes gambling payments in certain countries and for merchants it has approved. That means a casino can offer PayPal to some players and not to others, and the list can change. If you do not see PayPal in your cashier, that is the most likely reason — not a fault on your side. Do not try to use a PayPal account registered in another country; it breaks both PayPal's terms and, typically, the casino's.
Depositing with PayPal
- In the cashier, choose PayPal and enter the amount.
- Log in to PayPal in the window that opens and confirm the payment.
- You are returned to the cashier; the deposit is usually credited straight away.
- Check whether a bonus was attached — and whether you wanted one.
The PayPal account should be in the same name as your casino account. A partner's or family member's PayPal will cause trouble at the first withdrawal.
Why PayPal deposits and bonuses need a second look
E-wallets appear on bonus exclusion lists more often than cards. The reasoning given is usually abuse prevention, but the effect for you is simple: a PayPal deposit may be credited without any bonus, even if you ticked the box. A worked example (example in euros; the maths is the same in any currency) shows that this is not necessarily bad news. Suppose you deposit €50. With a 100% match on 35x deposit plus bonus, you would need to wager €3,500 before withdrawing anything; without the bonus, your €50 stays real money that you can cash out at any time after verification. For a short session, the "excluded" deposit may be the better deal.
Worked example — not a Platiin term. Whether PayPal qualifies is stated in the offer's bonus terms.
How to read exclusion lists and the wagering base is covered in our bonus terms guide and the wagering guide.
Withdrawing to PayPal
Where PayPal is available, payouts often return to the same PayPal account. You may be asked to show that it belongs to you, typically with a screenshot of the account page showing your name and email. Once the casino approves the withdrawal, PayPal usually credits it quickly; the slower part is the casino's own review. From PayPal, moving money to your bank is a separate step under PayPal's own terms.
Fees and currency
Casinos rarely charge for e-wallet deposits, but PayPal can charge for currency conversion if your PayPal balance or linked card is in another currency than your casino account. Choosing the same currency everywhere avoids this. Check PayPal's fee overview for your account before larger transactions.
PayPal or something else?
PayPal suits players who value privacy and quick deposits and who do not need the bonus. If a bonus matters, a card such as Visa may be the qualifying route. Skrill is the other common e-wallet, with similar trade-offs. Compare all options on the payments overview.
